Ian has made a career of sailing including ocean racing, yacht chartering, and yacht delivery. He started his racing and has done some very interesting sailing including, among others, the hitbread Around the World Race, record breaking double-handed transatlantic race Plymouth to Newport, Fastnet, Marblehead to Halifax and various Bermuda Races.

Katherine was born and raised in Louisiana. She discovered sailing while on vacation in Saint Maarten and never looked back. Katherine has worked on various types of yachts from small fishing boats to mega motor yachts. She is a natural cook, loves to sail, and has enjoyed chartering with Ian for the past two years. She is fun loving, free spirited, and a great hostess who loves to entertain.
Both Ian and Katherine enjoy all sports and a good laugh. As residents of St. Maarten they are very familiar with all the local islands including Anguilla, St. Bart, St. Eustasius. Ian also has experience sailing up and down the Caribbean chain and he knows the popular cruising grounds of the BVI, Antigua, and the Grenadines. Together Ian & Katherine will show you the secret anchorages and special dive spots. Ian loves to sail Lilla offshore and enjoys showing sailors what she can do. While Ian can easily handle Lilla alone he encourages participation. Ian and Katherine will welcome you onboard, make you feel at home, and spend the rest of your visit trying to pull out all the stops. Fun filled cruise guaranteed.
