Here is one of Captain Dave’s Sample Charter Itineraries

Day #1 -  Our trip begins with a boarding at 11:00 am in Watch Hill, RI                            
                 and travel to Mystic, CT with docking inside the Mystic Seaport
                 Museum for the night. You’ll have unlimited access to all of
                 the exhibits and are free to wander the grounds after closing,
                 a unique experience. (alt. boarding in Stonington, CT if req.)
  
Day #2 -  Now we’ll travel to Block Island and anchor in Great Salt Pond.
                This island is a very popular vacation spot for native Rhode
                Islanders. You can rent scooters and check the sights, including      
                the lighthouse currently under restoration as well as ‘Old Town’.

Day #3 -  On to the island of Martha’s Vineyard and the town of Vineyard
                Haven. We’ll be dockside right in downtown of this playground
                for many of the East Coast’s notable celebrities and political
                figures. As an added experience, we recommend renting an open
                jeep and exploring the interior of the island to such places as
                Oak Bluffs, Menemsha, and Gay Head Light.

Day #4 -  Next we’ll travel to Edgar Town, also on Martha’s Vineyard,
                and anchor in the calm waters off Chappaquiddick Island.
                Swimming, Kayaking, and a short tender ride to town defines        
                the summer mood of this quintessential New England location.           
                With the best variety of restaurants in the islands, this is a great                                                                            
                place to sample New England dining.

Day #5  – From here we’ll travel to Nantucket Island and dock in the center
                of town which is the birthplace of the American Whaling Fleet     
                Explore town or walk on one of this islands pristine beaches.
                Note: Nantucket has and excellent airport with scheduled flights
                should you need to board or disembark guests.

Day #6 -  Not to be missed, will move back west to anchor off the town of
                Cuttyhunk. This historic fishing village on a remote island offers
                a glimpse back in history to the early settlers of our country.
                Fresh local oysters will highlight the chef’s selection that day.                                             
               

Day #7 -  We’ll end our voyage by returning to Newport, RI and docking at
                the historic and charming Bannister’s Wharf. There is never a
                shortage of things to see and do in Newport including sailing tours
                hiking the Cliff Walk, Mansions, Fort Adams, and of course
                ‘shopping’!

Captain Dave Johnson and First Mate Diane Johnson welcome you aboard. With over 25 years of experience as a professional team, including more than 7 years aboard KIPANY, they are committed to giving you a great charter experience. Chef Daniel Fourdan was born in Pontivy, Brittany, France. He graduated from the CEPHOR Culinary School in Vannes, France, in 1992. He has over 18 years experience working in a wide variety of European specialty restaurants. His travels have taken him to such places as Quiberon Brittany, the Alps, the South of France, and Paris. After arriving in the States in 1992, he worked for several years at the Commodore in Key West where he met the owners of KIPANY. Once they discovered his talents, they quickly persuaded him to join the yachting industry aboard their boat. While Daniel is skilled in a wide variety of culinary styles, his focus is on using fresh local foods tailored to cater to your specific dietary needs. As an award winning Pastry Chef, his desserts will amaze and delight your entire party.

Stewardess Jenn Slack was born in the Midwest, and grew up on a family-run resort. She has over 15 years experience in a variety of hospitality industries from resorts and restaurants to hotels. Jenn has traveled abroad extensively including working as an English Language teacher in Japan. She is silver-service trained, and possesses an innate love of people and a sincere willingness to go above and beyond. Jenn’s keen eye for detail, her big smile and cheerful attitude are sure to enhance your experience aboard KIPANY.

Engineer Patrick Clark was born and raised on the Great Lakes and has been involved in boating his entire life. He sailed competitively in dinghy racing for the University of Wisconsin and later became involved in big boat competitions. He then returned to school to earn a Masters Certificate in Architecture from the University of Oregon. Later he rejoined the yachting industry and served as an engineer of yachts as well as delivery crew for numerous boats moving throughout the Great Lakes and along the eastern coast of the United States. He has participated in a number of extended refits and restorations and has great skills in problem solving. Patrick enjoys traveling, sailing and is an enthusiastic Harley Davidson motorcycle rider.

Richard Hannah and Denise Morancie have been working with crewed charters for the last three years and have quickly become popular amongst various charter parties from around the world.
Denise was born In Dominica and has done most of her sailing down island. She has gained a reputation for her true Caribbean cuisine mixed with a European and western flavor.
Denise spent many years as a chef in numerous resorts in Dominica and also guided eco tours which included descending down 100 foot waterfalls.
Not only is she a great asset in the galley but also her genuine island personality will enhance the Caribbean experience for all.
Richard owned and operated a successful crewed Charter Company in Canada, EH! and attained his BVI trade license in 2005. He has since been marketing the BVI crewed yacht concept to the travel industry in North America and has introduced many to their first crewed yacht experience.
He holds a Canadian Masters Captains license and a BVI 100 ton as well. Richard has many marine designations including his CYA instructors certificate. As a captain combined with his true entrepreneurial spirit Richard has created sailing programs for less fortunate kids and is popular with theme sailing charters.
In addition to his sailing background he has run numerous marathons and often takes guests jogging on many of the islands after setting anchor for the evening.
Richard and Denise are truly a unique couple. Their varied life experiences from two vastly different cultures have been a recipe for success in the crewed yacht industry.

Ian has made a career of sailing including ocean racing, yacht chartering, and yacht delivery. He started his racing and has done some very interesting sailing including, among others, the hitbread Around the World Race, record breaking double-handed transatlantic race Plymouth to Newport, Fastnet, Marblehead to Halifax and various Bermuda Races.
Chef Katherine Bieber, Age 36
Bachelor of Finance

Katherine was born and raised in Louisiana. She discovered sailing while on vacation in Saint Maarten and never looked back. Katherine has worked on various types of yachts from small fishing boats to mega motor yachts. She is a natural cook, loves to sail, and has enjoyed chartering with Ian for the past two years. She is fun loving, free spirited, and a great hostess who loves to entertain.

Both Ian and Katherine enjoy all sports and a good laugh. As residents of St. Maarten they are very familiar with all the local islands including Anguilla, St. Bart, St. Eustasius. Ian also has experience sailing up and down the Caribbean chain and he knows the popular cruising grounds of the BVI, Antigua, and the Grenadines. Together Ian & Katherine will show you the secret anchorages and special dive spots. Ian loves to sail Lilla offshore and enjoys showing sailors what she can do. While Ian can easily handle Lilla alone he encourages participation. Bill hails from the historical New England seaport of Mystic, Connecticut and has been involved in the luxury yachting industry for over 20 years. Due to the love of the sea and his desire for adventure Bill has captained both sailing and motor yachts around the world. His charters have taken him from places as far North as Alaska on the West coast and as far East as Nova Scotia on the East coast. He has spent the last 7 years providing amazing fun, relaxing, adventurous charters throughout the Caribbean islands. With over a 100 successful charters under his belt, Bill knows the best ports and anchorages whether it be beach combing or absorbing the island cultural he’s happy to take you there. He currently holds a USCG 1600 ton & MCA 3000 Class 4 license. Bill and his crew on “Northern Lights” truly look forward to welcoming you onboard for a memorable charter experience

FIRST MATE: PETER JUPP

Peter is an energetic happy easy going Australian. After a successful career managing construction sites he indulged his love for the ocean pursuing a career as a yacht captain.
While achieving his qualifications he has sailed yachts on the east coast of Australia, the Mediterranean and across the Atlantic. Peter holds a 200 gross ton license and is currently studying for his Officer of the Watch en route to his 500 gross ton license. Sailing, wake boarding, kite surfing, snowboarding, rock climbing, traveling and motorcycles are a few of his passions. He is a career professional taking pride in providing 5 star service to all guests who sail with him.

DECKHAND: ETHAN OLMSTEAD
AMERICAN
Born in New Bern, North Carolina had a fascination with water and anything involving water. I have always enjoyed water sports from skiing, knee boarding, and especially surfing. Started on bigger boats at the age of 18 crewing on a sail boat in the Dominican Republic. I returned to my roots of smaller boats and spent time rigging boats with engines and electronics. Worked on a yacht as the only mate, cook, and engineer. I spent time cruising from the East Coast to the Bahamas. He was offered a job in Livorno Italy and spent ten months mainly in the shipyard but did travel to Cannes, Monaco, and parts of Italy. Returned back to small boats and offered a job on Northern Lights which I happily accepted.

ENGINEER: JOHANNES SWANEPOEL
SOUTH AFRICA
Johannes is from Cape Town, down in sunny South-Africa. There he joined the S.A. Navy straight after school to pursue a career as a marine mechanical engineer where he received training on the aspects of running a vessel’s machinery and systems. After qualifying, he started to earn his salt’s worth on the SAS Drakensberg, a 482’ support vessel. Amongst other journeys, he motored up the East coast of Africa to Mumbial and Cochin, India as well as De La Reunion and the Seychelles. Further diplomatic and support missions offered him the opportunity to motor along the West Coast of Africa to St. Helena Island. It was his military background that set his high standard of workmanship. In search of further adventure, Johannes left the South African shores visiting Australia and England shortly there after. In London, he found his way back onto boats chartering on the River Thames. Soon, he moved over to the Caribbean to broaden his horizons into the Mega Yacht Industry. Based in St. Maarten he realized the beauty of the Windward Islands and enjoyed sailing and fishing as past times. From that time, he has been involved in the motor yacht charter industry and travelled around the Caribbean, Bahamas and Greek Islands as a yacht engineer. With solid engineering experience, Johannes will ensure your comfort on board the Motor Yacht Northern Lights.

Executive Chef Michael Martin has been impressing people for over 22 years with his amazing culinary dishes. He has worked in some of the most sought after restaurants in the world. From the international well known “River Café “to the favorite hangout restaurant “Harvey Nichols” both located in London, England. He is not only an exceptional chef but is well aware of the service element that is expected of him. In addition he worked at the private Belmont Forest Estate as a butler.
With over 10 years of yachting experience. He has a an impressive list of motor vessels that he has worked on such as the 200’ Lady Beatrice, the 100’ Corona Del Mar, to the 280’ M/Y Tattoos to name a few.
Michael Martin is excited to bring his culinary expertise and flavor’s to” Northern Lights”. He trained at “Stephanie’s Restaurant “one of Australia’s best for fine dining concentrating on the modern flavors of France, Italy, and Asia which have become the world tastes of today.
Michael’s flavors are both light and tasty but also healthy, for he loves what he does with a passion. You and your guests will be sure to leave with a few memorable flavors of Northern Light’s.

Joanne grew up in Auckland, NZ. While working within the professional photographic field she pursued many leisure activities. Amongst one of her favorites was racing sailboats. This was a passion that she partook in for over 20 years. Racing competitively within the Haruki Gulf and outer Auckland harbor, her passion for the sea and enthusiasm for travel and adventure led her to a career within the luxury yacht industry. She has visited many ports all over South America, North America, Caribbean, Bahamas, British Virgin Islands, Mediterranean, as well as backpacking through Asia, and the Pacific. Joanne has also had extensive experience on busy Charter Yachts, and enjoys offering her guests unsurpassed, friendly service and an unforgettable, memorable experience while on board. She will dazzle you with her delightfully set tables and delicious cocktails. Her flair for pampering guests is well received…as is her sense of humor! Joanne also holds her Advanced Divers certification and has dived all over the world. She looks forward to welcoming you on board for a pleasurable and thrilling stay.

STEWARDESS: NADIA LOURENS

Nadia joins us from the mother city of South Africa, Cape Town, where she grew up to love the sun and sea. As a teenager, she visited family in Greece and it was then, that the travel bug bit. On completion of schooling, she traveled to the UK for a two year working holiday. There she started working as a receptionist in the corporate finance industry and worked her way up to Personal Assistant to some of London’s top Financial Advisers. After this time in the U.K. she was happy to return to South Africa, from where she soon left to travel the Caribbean. Here she was introduced to the super yacht industry, and started working as a stewardess on yachts through the Caribbean and Bahamas and out of Ft. Lauderdale. Combining her skills as a certified masseuse with her experience in anticipating the needs of corporate business woman and men, she’s ready to ensure you enjoy a luxurious experience on board Motor Yacht Northern Lights. 
 
 

ANNABEL II- 15% off rate for remaining available dates this Summer in the Med

M/Y ANNABEL II is a 2009 Horizon 97ft (Raised Pilot House) luxury motor yacht. A modern Horizon luxury motor yacht, she boasts contemporary styling and performance as well as lovely woodwork and craftsmanship throughout.

This Horizon 97 is a wide body version of the 97 RPH with four large cabins with en suite heads forward, a huge country kitchen and galley, and a beautiful formal dining area. ANNABEL II boasts the latest Bose sound entertainment systems, 9 TVs, CDs, a Jacuzzi pool and a tender with 80hp outboard.

Accommodations:
Four Staterooms consist of 1 Master, 1 VIP and two twins, each with an additional pullman. All cabins have ensuite bathrooms.

The master stateroom features a large walk around king size bed and a large closet with a built in safe. The master has plenty of storage and a small sitting area comfortable for two. The ensuite features ‘his and hers’ basins and a large walk-in shower.

The VIP is also spacious with a center-lined queen bed and ensuite.

Both twin cabins are fitted with two single beds and one pullman berth plus an ensuite bathroom.

CAPTAIN: Adam Lambert – Australian.
Adam has been at sea almost his entire life and owned his first boat at 11 years old! He has thousands of miles of worldwide cruising under his seaboots and has experience in the Mediterranean, Pacific, Caribbean, USA, and Asia. His yachting experience includes everything from yacht builds to ocean racing, fishing vessels and in the last decade, the running of fine motor yachts.
There are very few situations that Adam has not experienced firsthand and his experience and nautical ability plus his attention to details puts guests is safe and capable hands. Captain Adam enjoys interacting with charter guests and has a friendly and genuine approach.

MATE: Dennis Thorp – New Zealander
Denis grew up on the rugged west coast of New Zealand and feels that he has a natural affinity with the sea and all that she offers. Both sides of his family have a strong nautical history which Denis now carries and enjoys sharing with guests. He is a qualified New Zealand boatmaster who enjoys many activities around the water. Denis is always up for a challenge and you’d better be careful if you ask him to ‘go faster’!

CHEF: Sven Schroeder – German
Sven’s style involves traditional ways of culinary art combined with a contemporary twist, using only the finest of ingredients, his experience allows clients all over the world to enjoy his cuisine. Sven has a comprehensive knowledge of cuisines which in its diversity and richness, will entertain the most discerning palate with everything from Classical French to Modern European, Mediterranean, Japanese, Fusion, Middle Eastern, Kosher and Vegetarian.

Sven’s career over the past two decades has taken him from the finest restaurants and hotels, through many continents and gourmet city kitchens to some of the best charter yachts in the industry. Sven is fluent in written and spoken English & German and speaks basic Spanish and French.

STEWARDESS: Alice Webb – Australian
Alice has shown passion and loyalty in all aspects of her yachting career and applies the same commitment to excellence onboard ANNABEL II. Always smiling and with a willingness to please, Alice’s energy, fine service and professionalism will ensure a forever memorable experience.

Alice has worked on a myriad of outstanding yachts including M/Y Samar (77mt Devonport), M/Y Ability (54mt CRN) and M/Y Mary-Jean (48mt Campanella) as well as a working as a Freelance Stewardess on M/Y Altitude, (55mt Benetti) and M/Y Momentum, (35mt Leight Notika).
